Abstract
Pseudoepitheliomatous hyperplasia is a benign lesion which shows reactive epithelial proliferation on mucocutaneous surfaces. Pseudoepitheliomatous hyperplasia is confused with squamous cell carcinoma clinically and pathologically. Therefore, more radical treatment options may be avoided with correct diagnosis. Immunohistochemical stains may also be useful for diagnosis. This case report focuses on the differential diagnosis and treatment of pseudoepitheliomatous hyperplasia and squamous cell carcinoma.
