Abstract
Cervical lymphadenopathy is common in the pediatric population; palpable lymphadenopathy may be present in approximately 38 to 45% of healthy children. In fact, it is difficult to give a true incidence since it is a pathology that is seen after viral upper respiratory diseases and limits itself. Detailed history and physical examination assist in establishing a correct diagnosis since many diseases may be involved in its differential diagnosis. The most common cause is infection.
