Abstract

Head and neck examinations of suspected or confirmed coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases are high-risk procedures. Rescheduling of non-emergent procedures is required to limit the spread of the COVID-19 infection in both patient and healthcare worker populations. In this article, we reviewed from the literature the rescheduling parameters of otorhinolaryngology cases, case management and interventions with high risk for producing aerosols. Also, parameters regarding the use of personal protective equipment were summarized.
